Wolfram Alpha's Versus Google - Who really has a 10 inch answer

I am a big fan of Wolfram Alpha so i have the Firefox addon installed which gives me there answer anytime I google something.  Today I googled 10 inch, there was a genuine reason I wanted to convert it into mtrs so that i could work out insulation requirments for the attic and knew that the wolfram answer would provide this conversion.  However when I looked at the google results I saw something I was not expecting.  Below is an image of the results, Wolfram is on the right.

Twitter + Yahoo pipes + Drupal as a blackhat toolset?

This is extremely simple so dont expect too much and its just a minor twist on content networks that pull in your RSS feeds.
I was thinking about all the unique content that is generated on twitter every minute of everyday, and it struck me that its only a hour or so's work to actually use this for alternate purposes.

I am not suggesting that you do this however you need to be aware of just how easy it would be for someone else to do it against your sites

Step 1: Pick your topic lets say pubcon
Step 2: check for hashtags related to e.g. #pubcon
Step 3: Go to yahoo pipes

Getting annoyed at the recent serp changes

Iam getting annoyed at the recent serp changes,  so many of them just don't make sense.

I know google have to  make changes but surely they could test better, it seems mad that they are doing wholesale changes based on what seem like some very odd criteria.

Am I being paranoid or is personalised serp's / search wikia allowing major brands (i.e. high PR sites) to push there way into lesser known brands despite there being no relationship beween them, just based on stupid suggest and inaccurate dictionaries.

Danny Sullivan making money from Blackhat

So got up this  morning and spotted this story on sphinn which lead me to this article by Danny Sullivan.  I noticed the Matts Cutts had even commented twice on the sphinn article. Its a genuinely good article, well written and to the point, so I actually got all the way to the end when I spotted something a bit odd.

Heres the screen shot I took (click it to get the full page snap)

I swear I am not picking on MS but this is just silly

MS need help with google seo

After reading DaveN's post on why he prefers adCenter I decided to have a look at it again.

As you can see they need to do some work before they gain a lot of credibility with SEO'.

Google gets the last piece of the puzzle

Why oh why did google not just help develop firefox rather than
launching another problem on the world of web development i.e.
chrome?

This puzzled me for a few hours, then I saw that they were truly
evil when you read the T&C's i.e. they own everything you do via
there browser

Google are promoting Porn and Gambling!! WTF?

Google have started promoting porn and gambling on seemingly innocent terms! No I am not joking or spreading some rumour to gain links. I happened to be looking for a (London) tube map the other day and lazily typed in "tube".

Below are screenshots of the results:

Business Networking

Business Networking ? Why would I write a blog about business networking when the site is about Sun Tzu and business / SEO Strategy? Well I see business networking as an essential part of any business strategy. A focused business network in the business areas that are relevant to your own business / campaign can massively help to support your campaigns.
