Business Strategies
Using PPC as part of your SEO Strategy
PPC Strategies and SEO Strategies are natural bedfellows. While often seen as competing they are far more complimentary than competitive when used are part of the same Strategy.
SEO takes longer to build than PPC which can be turned on and off at the typing of a credit card number, what surprises me is that a lot of people do not use this advantage of PPC as part of their SEO Strategy.

Sun Tzu - Fire is the stuff that burns
I recently had a conversation with a serious business man whom confused the hell out of me for about 10 minutes. He kept using the term "Fire" and reputation as thought they were the same thing!
Then I remembered reading a book some time ago where the author was pontificating about how when Sun Tzu was referring to Fire that it should be interpreated as meaning Repuation for modern business purposes. Sure enough when I asked him had he read the book, he had just finished it!!

THE ARMY ON THE MARCH - The Art of War Sun Tzu
IX. THE ARMY ON THE MARCH
1. Sun Tzu said: We come now to the question of encamping the army, and observing signs of the enemy. Pass quickly over mountains, and keep in the neighbourhood of valleys.
2. Camp in high places, facing the sun. Do not climb heights in order to fight. So much for mountain warfare.
3. After crossing a river, you should get far away from it.
4. When an invading force crosses a river in its onward march, do not advance to meet it in mid-stream. It will be best to let half the army get across, and then deliver your attack.
