So most of us are sick of Google Analytics, its inaccurate and has some real dodgy implications for busineses.  Google already has too much data about all of us and lets face it "dont be evil" went out the window a long time ago.

I normally run awstats unless I want to test specific things with Google analytics ;-) but recently have been reviewing piwik which is positioning itself as a google analytics replacement.

I must say that I really think these guys could do it, its a very slick beta and gives me great hope for the future. The code is at a decent level and the api is really nice, check it out at piwik.org and if like me you run Drupal, then you might want to try the drupal piwik module.

Please note its a beta so only try it if you dont mind stuff breaking and having to mess about with it to get it working, saying that it worked perfectly for me!
