Business Networking ? Why would I write a blog about business networking when the site is about Sun Tzu and business / SEO Strategy? Well I see business networking as an essential part of any business strategy. A focused business network in the business areas that are relevant to your own business / campaign can massively help to support your campaigns.

I recently had a conversation with a serious business man whom confused the hell out of me for about 10 minutes. He kept using the term "Fire" and reputation as thought they were the same thing!

Then I remembered reading a book some time ago where the author was pontificating about how when Sun Tzu was referring to Fire that it should be interpreated as meaning Repuation for modern business purposes. Sure enough when I asked him had he read the book, he had just finished it!!

XII. THE ATTACK BY FIRE

1. Sun Tzu said: There are five ways of attacking with fire. The first is to burn soldiers in their camp; the second is to burn stores; the third is to burn baggage trains; the fourth is to burn arsenals and magazines; the fifth is to hurl dropping fire amongst the enemy.

2. In order to carry out an attack, we must have means available. The material for raising fire should always be kept in readiness.

3. There is a proper season for making attacks with fire, and special days for starting a conflagration.
